The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has published a policy paper regarding the sector deal between government and the offshore oil and gas industry.
The North Sea Transition Deal is about harnessing the power of the oil and gas sector and anchoring it to the UK for the energy transition. The sector and the government will work together to deliver the skills, innovation and new infrastructure required to decarbonise North Sea oil and gas production as well as other carbon intensive industries, whilst also catalysing growth throughout the UK economy.
