CCUS Business Models – Update

by | Dec 22, 2020 | Uncategorized

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has published an update on its business models for carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS).

This document follows the 2019 consultation (business models for CCUS) and the response to that consultation published in August 2020. The aim is to establish CCUS in two industrial clusters by the mid-2020s and in a further two industrial clusters by 2030, subject to value for money and affordability considerations. Consumer subsidies will support the construction of at least one power CCUS plant to be operational by 2030.
